Developmental League

This League is designed to give 3-4th graders an opportunity to improve their skills and overall knowledge of the game. No prior experience necessary.  Do not be mislead thinking "developmental" is not for your child if they have already played the Y or other Rec League. This league will challenge any player in these grades.  If your child enters our league and we feel they would be best challenged by moving to the 5-6th grade level we will talk to you about moving them "up".

Each week we will advance the fundamentals and team aspects of our training. Our goal is to get each team to understand base, rotations, and defensive to offensive transition, all while incorporating three contacts. Of course we would prefer Pass-Set-Spike, but even the advanced players can’t always do that.

Our leagues are unique in that the style of teaching and training may vary from other leagues your child has participated in. We have found our style teaches and encourages the three contact concept more quickly and helps in the development of the game concept for younger ages.

Evaluations
All players will be evaluated on the selected evaluation date for that league.  They will be placed on teams according to their skill level.

Playing with Friends or by Skill Level
On your evaluation card you will be allowed to select to be with up to two of your friends.  Please be advised if you select to be with your friend(s)and your friend is a lower skill level than yourself you will probably be placed on a lower skilled team. It is not fair for us to place a lower skill player on a higher level team if they are not ready physically for the demands of those skills needed. So, on your evaluation sheet you must also choose if you wish to be with your friends or be selected on a team by skill.  If you choose skill over friends that will trump the choice of friends. If your friends are at your skill level, you will be fine.

Practices
There will be one practice per week.  Each will last 1 hr and 45 min.

Tournament Play
Teams in each league will compete in two or three tournaments depending on availability. This gives players an opportunity to work on the team aspects they’ve learned and put them into real game situations.  Rules are modified to help generate success and confidence.

There will be 6-7 players per team, and coaches will be provided. This league is a great way for both the newest player in volleyball and the player who is already playing in rec or pro league to advance their level of play.

Divisions:
3rd Grade
4th Grade

Cost:
Will vary from league to league depending on length of league.

Competitive League

This League is designed to give 5-8th graders an opportunity to improve their skills, knowledge, and strategies of the game.  If your child enters our league and we feel they would be best challenged by moving up a division level we will talk to you about moving them "up".

Players may enter the league as an individual or a with a team.  When entering as an individual you will be evaluated and placed on a team with others with similar abilities.  When entering a team you must have a minimum of 7 players.  You may have more than 7.

Each week we will advance the fundamentals and team aspects of our training. As each team learns the correct aspects of base, transitions, rotations, offensive schemes and defensive schemes, teams will be challenged with more difficult strategies.

Our leagues are unique in that the style of teaching and training may vary from other leagues your child has participated in. We have found our style prepares 5-8 graders for higher level of volleyball.

Advanced Competitive League

The ACL is designed to give 5-10th graders an opportunity to take their game to a much higher level of play with more practices and competitive play. This is our highest level of play for our leagues. It is a great alternative to those who cannot afford club volleyball or want to stay local for tournaments and not travel.

Players must tryout for the ACL.  Due to the fact this league is working with players who want the highest level of training it is only fair there is a selection process for this level. Your skill level must be ready to compete in this league.

Each week we will advance both fundamentals and team aspects of our training. As each team improves the aspects of base, transitions, rotations, offensive schemes and defensive schemes, teams will be challenged with more difficult strategies and drills.

Our ACL has been a great replacement for club volleyball for many.  It will give you much of the "club" experience through our training and the tournaments we enter. Yet, it is a shorter season with less cost and no travel.
